Cheswick Capital is delighted to announce that one if its subsidiary companies has acquired the business and assets of Foxtons Wine Bar and Restaurant, in the historic market town of Berwick Upon Tweed.
Commenting on the move Keith Steven said that he was pleased to acquire the business which is tired and in need of modernising. "This is a turnaround opportunity that we have had our eyes on for a while. It is a long established wine bar and restaurant, but needs to offer a wider range of wines and high quality food. So we have already introduced a new extensive wine list on its first weekend under our ownership and with the acquisition of a new chef to support the existing chef and sous chef, plus an exciting new menu, we are confident we can rebuild the restaurant over the coming months".
Law firm, Sanderson McCreath and Edney of Berwick, acted for Cheswick Inns Limited. The terms were not disclosed.
